Memorial window to Squadron Leader J. Millington DFC (OC 12 Sqn) killed in a flying accident on 04/02/54 He was flying in 12 Sqn Canberra WF891 that had departed Binbrook for a routine training exercise Almost immediately after departure, the aircraft suffered catastrophic failure of the Port Engine and the aircraft crashed at Stainton le Vale. The Pilot and Nav 1 survived, however the Nav 2 and OC 12 Sqn were both killed in the crash.
