How would you describe the memorial and its ornamentation?
Two light stained glass window with trefoil arches, with the inscription written along the bottom of the windows on the front of a low dais upon which the central images stand. The figures are depicted as soldiers in Roman style armour with their heads surrounded by halos, the one on the left bearing the legend Fortitudo, and the one on the right, Pax. The figure on the left carries a spear in his right hand, and rests a shield bearing the cross of St George beneath his left hand. The shield has been pierced by three arrows. The figure on the right is stood on his sword, and shelters a lamb in his cloak under his right arm, and rests a shield bearing the Dove of Peace beneath his left hand. In the trefoil above the left hand figure Christ Crucified appears above a bed of oak leaves, whilst on the right the infant Jesus in the arms of Mary appears above a bed of lilies and laurels.
