Memorial Details
What type of memorial is it?
How would you describe the memorial and its ornamentation?
Two light stained glass window with accompanying cast brass plaque on the cill beneath. The left-hand light depicts St Michael the Archangel subduing the Devil in the form of a serpent, and the right-hand depicts a young soldier in Mediaeval armour, perhaps a portrait of the subject, yielding up his sword and receiving the Crown of Life from Christ. A related Biblical text runs across the bottom of the window, in Gothic lettering. The plaque beneath has a raised border, with a small Maltese cross raised in half relief in each corner.
