Additional information related to cost or sponsorship
A faculty was granted in 1922 for the plain glass to be replaced by a stained glass memorial window but the Diocesan Advisory Commission asked for the names to be removed from their position in the first design. A decision was made to place the names on shields around the window. A letter of protest by the Rector, the Rev H. M. Scott, pointed out that the amendment had added a further £20 to the cost. This was defrayed by private subscription. Cost estimated at £72.10.
