Rectangular (landscape) brass panel with inscription. (to the left and above the arches)
Arcade consisting of 6 columns supporting 5 arches with niches. In centre niche is an allegorical figure, the two niches on the LHS have ceramic panels detailing the regiments battle honours from 1685 to 1880. The two RHS niches contain ceramic plaques detailing casualties from the Zulu War 1878-1879.

Above the arches are
Three large two light windows depicting numerous saints and military heroes. Five panels of dedicatory glazed ceramic tablets with inscription painted on below the window. L-R: Royal arms; arms of bishop of Bath & Wells; badges of Somerset Regt; arms of lord-Lieutenant and Dean of Wells L-R: King Ena; kKng Egbert; King Alfred; Edward the Elder; Athelstan; Edgar the Peaceful L-R: girdle of truth; breastplate of righteousness; sandals of peace; shield of faith; helmet of salvation; sword of the spirit L-R: Abraham; Moses; Joshua; Gideon; Davis; Jonathan & Nehemiah; Judas Maccabeus & the centurions of the gospel; King Arthur; King Edmund; a crusader; Edward the Black Prince; Henry V; Prince Rupert; Admiral Blake, Wellington; General Nicholson; General Gordon
