Memorial Details
What type of memorial is it?
How would you describe the memorial and its ornamentation?
Replacement stained glass window for the Victorian Window destroyed by bombing in 1941. A seven light window with tracery above, depicting saints and Christian symbols. The main lights depict six of Christ's Miracles, and two of the Parables he told, with a radiant cross surrounded by angels at the centre. Along the lower sections of the central five lights citizens of Birmingham are depicted in clothing of the wartime period - military, civic, religious, occupational, and symbolic of family life. A plaque nearby describes the window (with the error that eight Miracles are depicted).
