Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married, with 2 children, and worked as an improver for a firm of engineers in Cleckheaton before he enlisted in February 1917. He was wounded, treater for both trench feet and trench fever before he died of a chest wound in hospital in France (although he was posted as missing at the time). He is also commemorated on IWM 2738 and the Tyne Cot Memorial.
