Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. Originally7 from Flint in North Wales, he was married and working as a Mason for the Co-Op in Brighouse: he was also the Union Secretary for the Mason's section of the Trades and Labour Council. He enlisted in September 1914 and this was the only Calderdale memorial they found him commemorated on.
