Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He is one of the many of the regiment and of Calderdale to die on the 3/9/16 in the failed attack on the Schwaben Redoubt. This is the only Calderdale memorial he is commemorated on but he is named on the Thiepval Memorial.
