Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was born in Stainland but lived in Huddersfield. He served on the cruiser HMS Cornwall but died in Belmont Auxiliary Hospital in Liverpool of pneumonia. He was buried in the Providence Chapel graveyard and is also possibly commemorated on IWM 2606.
