Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He worked in a finishing department before he enlisted in September 1914. He was invalided home the following August, returned to his unit in April 1916 and went missing a year later, He was initially reported as being a POW but was presumed dead. He is also commemorated on IWM 2606.
