Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was working for Lewins of Bull Green in Halifax but, as a Territorial, he was called up in August 1914. He was wounded on 16th October 1915 and his brother, William, saw him carried to a dressing station with a severe skull wound. One press report called him Fred but the only Fred in the regiment of this surname was a Private: Frank is also commemorated on IWM Memorial 2675.
