Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was a member of the Liberal Club and worked as a weaver before the war. He served in Italy, where he was wounded and in hospital with trench feet, dysentery and septic poisoning. he was killed in France and is also commemorated on IWM 2224 and 2670.
