Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He served in the Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regiment and went missing on the Somme on 14th September 1916, now presumed dead. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial as well as IWM 2630 and 2627 (on which he is listed as Parkin).
