Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married, with a child, and lived in Hipperholme, working as an articled clerk for a solicitor in Halifax. A Mason and a member of his local bowling club, he died of Sepsis in hospital from a gunshot wound in his thigh. He is also commemorated on IWM 29419, 2761, 2763, 2765and 2618.
