Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. Married, with a child, and working as an articled clerk and then partner at a firm of Solicitors in Halifax. He lived in Hipperholme - his parents lived in Luddendenfoot - and he was a member of the Lightcliffe Masons and Bowling Club. He died in hospital of Sepsis from a gunshot wound in his thigh. He is widely commemorated being on IWM 29414, 2760, 2763, 2765 and 2631.
