The younger brother of George who is also commemorated on this memorial, he worked as a weaver but was also a member of the local bowling club and Captain of Pecket Well Cricket Club. As an ex-Regular, having served 6 years in India, he was called up in August 1914 and died at Holl 60. Like his brother, he is also commemorated on IWM 2854 and 2711 and he alone is on 2710.
