Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He worked as a music teacher and, in his spare time, both was a member of the bowling club and played the organ at Mirfield Methodists Church. He was captured on 3rd May, 1917, and died almost 3 months later of his wounds in a German hospital. He is also commemorated on IWM 2754.
