Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. The elder brother of Norman, also commemorated on this memorial, he was married with a child. Both brothers are also commemorated on IWM 2689 and both died on the Somme, Percy 3 days before Norman in an attack on Wonder Work and the Hohenzollern Trench in which 258 casualties were suffered by the regiment.
