The College website (see references) provides the following additional information: 'Came up in 1913 to read Theology, but did not graduate. Military Service: Captain 6th Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry. Died 21 March 1918 in the German breakthrough south of St Quentin, 1st Battle of the Somme 1918. Initially reported as “Missing” in April 1918. Death was not confirmed until August 1918 following the British advance.
