Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married, to Maud, and they had 2 children. He was working as a carter but also was a Territorial and so was called up in 1914. He was discharged after a 7 week stay in hospital at some point before re-enlisting in 1917 only to die of septicaemia in a hospital a day after being wounded. This was the only Calderdale memorial they found him listed on.
