(CWGC records that Private H L Wilders, regimental number 39263, died on 3/10/1916 serving in 1st Battalion of the Royal Berkshire Regiment, and is buried in grave I.C.50 at Euston Camp Cemetery at Colincamps, France.
The Medal Rolls record that Hatton served in the 1/1st Hunts Cyclist Battalion under regimental number 1623 before joining the Royal Berkshire Regiment. The Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects record that Hatton Lincoln Wilders' father John was his legatee.
The birth of Hatton Lincoln Wilders was registered in Bourne District in 1895. He was baptised on 18/11/1895 at Market Deeping as the son of Ada and John Lincoln Wilders. On the 1901 census he was living with his parents at 254 Lincoln Road in Peterborough. On the 1911 census he was living at the same address with his widowed father).
