(CWGC record that Private John Thomas Reynolds, regimental number 4313, died aged 38 on 31/7/1917 serving in 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards, and is commemorated on Panel 11 of Ypres Menin Gate Memorial in Belgium. They record him as the son of Joseph and Charlotte Reynolds of Manor Lodge, Otley, Yorkshire and the husband of Lilian Reynolds of 214 Lincoln Road, Walton, Peterborough. On the 1901 census John had been living with his parents at Saxon Villa, Rogers Street, Peterborough. On the 1911 census he and his wife Lilian were living at 4 Kilburn Cottages, Walton, Peterborough. The Army registers of Soldiers' Effects record that he died in Belgium, and that his widow Lilian was his legatee).
