(CWGC records that Lance Corporal Jabez Jacques, regimental number 14708, died aged 25 on 25/9/1915 serving in the 7th Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment, and is commemorated on Loos Memorial in France. They record him as the son of the late Allen William and Sarah Elizabeth Jacques of 84 Gladstone Street, Peterborough. Soldiers Died in the Great War likewise records his date of death as 25/9/1915, as do the Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects, which record that his father Allen was his legatee).
