(CWGC records that Private J Hobbs, regimental number 550, died aged 25 on 28/11/1915 while serving in 7th Divisional Cyclist Company of the Army Cyclist Corps, and is buried in grave IV.G.13 at Bethune Town Cemetery in France. Soldiers Died in the Great War records that Private John Hobbs, a native and resident of Peterborough, enlisted at Fletton, and that he served in the Bedfordshire Regiment under regimental number 473, before joining the Army Cyclist Corps. The Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects record that his legatee was Miss Florence Sharp).
