Dale, regimental number 30174, died on 3/9/1916 serving in the 14th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment, and that he is buried in grave XXV.M.5 at Delville Wood Cemetery in France, having been reinterred after the War. Soldiers Died in the Great War records that the above Private Albert Edward Dale had formerly served in the Hunts Cyclist Battalion under regimental number 872, before transferring to the Royal Warwickshire Regiment. The Army Registers of Soldiers Effects record that his father John was his legatee).
