(CWGC records that Company Quartermaster Sergeant S. Allen, regimental number 6910, died aged 35 on 10/12/1917, serving in 7th Battalion Suffolk Regiment. They record him as the son of Mary Ann Allen of 26 Church Street, King's Lynn, and the late Edward Allen. He is buried in grave V.E.21 at Le Cateau Military Cemetery in France).
