Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. She had moved to Birmingham to train as a nurse in 1895 and then worked in a hospital in Glasgow until 1917. She then travelled to Salonika, surviving the sinking of the troopship Transylvania off Italy, and served in the 43 General Hospital there. However, en route back to England she was hospitalised in Le Harve with bronchitis, eventually dying ion Queen Alexandra's Hospital in London after an operation. She is also commemorated on IWM 2738.
