The grave says he was born 12th November 1889: Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. A mill worker who was engaged to a Miss F Hill of Midgley in Halifax, he enlisted in March 196 and was killed by a sniper. He is also commemorated on the Cambria Memorial.
