Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra detail. He was in gentleman' service from the age of 14 and became Butler to a H B Tate of Billersby Manor, Alcester. He had been wounded and was killed making his way to a casualty clearing station. On press report of his death gave his name as Herbert.
