History
Additional Notes
Additional general notes on the memorial
Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) was born in New York son on Charles Lewis Tiffany, a prominent New York jeweller and silversmith. Tiffany started as a painter, but his talent for the decorative arts is where he focused. Tiffany developed new types of glass to incorporate into stained glass panels. The copper foil method was also devised by his employees.
Ther are very few Tiffany windows in Scotland maybe only 3 of which this is one. This window was designed in 1903.
