Hornshaw and Fowler (see References) provide the extra details. Before the war he initially trained to be a teacher before giving up and becoming a draper, working with his father. He died aboard a hospital ship, having been wounded in The Dardanelles, and was buried at sea. He is also listed on IWM 2224 and 2651 and the Helles Memorial.
