Notes
The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'b 25.4.1896 in Chiswick, London. Enlisted December 15 at Moose Jaw Sask. in Canada. Regimental number: 252015. Occupation on enlistment: farm hand. His next of kin given on enlistment was his aunt, Mrs E. St Muir-Hill, of Paignton in Deveon. Father farmer and retired underwriter in Sussex. 1911 living with housekeeper at 25 Church Street. 1911 census: both brothers are living at 25 Church Street, with a housekeeper, Mary Blakes. 1901, family recorded at Waldron, Framfield, Sussex, where Mary Blakes is recorded as servant (nurse). No mother recorded on this census - she was Katie Louise, father Frederic. Married Adkins in 1928. Died Oxford, December 1974, age 78. Why the 2 Boulton brothers were lodged in Kington and at LHS is untraceable. Family links into the past show no connections with the area on either mother's or father's side. Clearly a very wealthy family, with aristocratic links through grandmother, Caroline Lascelles.' His brother, Thomas Cyril (wrongly listed as JC) is also listed on this memorial.
