The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'Born in Huntington [in 1898]. 1901 21 Ridgebourne Road, 1911 1 The Wych. Volunteer for Herefordshire Regiment October 1914, 18 when enlisted Leominster 22/5/16, short service attestation. A Clerk. Father, Henry Keen, a gardener (domestic), mother Margaret Ellen. Service in UK 2/2/17 to 27/11/17. Salonika expeditionary force late 1917, arrival there 1/1/18. Demobbed 1/12/19 from Constantinople, as a private in the Cheshire Regiment.'
