The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'son of Vicar at Brilley, Wiiliam, and wife Agnes. Lieutenant, subsequently Captain, killed in action 31.7.1917. No known grave is commemorated on the Menin Gate panels 54 and 56. Three brothers, all whom may have served (though, to date, military records cannot be traced). Noted in LHS Roll of Honour July 1915 and note in Kington Times that all 4 sons serving. 1901 living at the Vicarage, Brilley. Born [in 1891] in Sparkbrook, Warwickshire.'
