Additional Notes
Additional general notes on the memorial
In June 2024, the school explained that initially the school didn't want to recognise one individual with a window in its chapel - IWM 22080 being a collective memorial to all the old boys who died in WW2 - and therefore wouldn't accept the family's donation to create the window. Mrs Fairfax then had the window made privately and presented it to the then headmaster who felt that he then couldn't refuse it.
