The school website (see References) provides the extra service, name and death details and provides this brief biographical detail: 'Peter Kennedy was born in Cleaton Moor, Cumberland. In December 1914 or January 1915 he joined the “Tyneside Irish Pals” Battalion, whose recruitment had spread to the north-west. He fought at the Somme in 1916 and fell the following year.
