All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: '- He came from Thames Junior School in 1927, and stayed until 1934 to work in the family butchers business. He lived on Wellington Road with his parents, Fred and Ethel Timewell. He was a Pilot Officer (No 88432) serving with No 615 Squadron flying Hurricane IICs out of RAF Valley on Anglesey, and lost his life on 4th August 1941, aged 25. His grave is also in Layton Cemetery, Section F, and grave number 725.'
