All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'He also came from Thames Primary School, in 1931, and was the son of Paul and Alice Muller of Hampton Road in South Shore, playing for the school First XV in 1938-1939. He went on to Liverpool University, and then became a Sub-Lieutenant (A) on H.M.S. Ark Royal, the famous aircraft carrier. He died on Saturday 18th October 1941, aged 22, less than a month before the ship was sunk as it was being towed to Gibraltar. He is remembered on the Lee-on-Solent Memorial in Hampshire.'
