All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'He went to Thames Primary School, and at the Grammar School from 1932 until 1937. He was the son of Edwin Jowett of St Heliers Road, and the husband of Lucy of Anchorsholme. He died on Tuesday 30th December 1941 when serving with the 6th County of Lancaster (Kirkham) Battalion of the Home Guard. His grave is in Christ Church Churchyard, Thornton, Plot FL5, Grave No2.'
