All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'He came from Ashton-U-Lyne and was at the school from 1931 until 1935 before working at the Borough Treasurers Office. He was the son of Wilfred Hallworth of Lowrey Avenue, and was a Bombardier (No 903543) in the 137 Field Regiment of the Royal Artillery. He died on Saturday 17th January 1942 and is listed on the Singapore Memorial.'
