All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'He attended St John’s Primary School, and was at the Grammar School from 1925 to 1933 (8 years?), and worked as a builder’s clerk after leaving school. He was a Flight Lieutenant in the RAFVR (No 103520) and was killed on Wednesday 20th June 1945 aged 29 – that is to say after the war was over – in an accident while training a new pilot. He was the husband of Joan Gregson, and the son of Richard and Lily Gregson of Poulton. He is buried in Layton Cemetery, Section K, and Grave 207.'
