All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'He was the son of Percy and Margaret Culshaw, and came from Preston, attending the School from 1934 to 1937. He was a Sergeant pilot (No 1077853) in the RAFVR, and flew with 200 Squadron flying Hudsons out of Accra (probably maritime reconnaissance work). He was killed on 15th December 1942, and lies in Du Plantation Cemetery in Liberia.'
