All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'Was the son of Fred W and Edith A. Corns of Bond Street in South Shore, and was at the School from 1929 to 1935. He was Bombardier (No 906313) in the 88th Field Artillery Regiment (the same as A W Busby) and died on Friday 3rd September 1943, aged 24 (i.e. just 5 weeks after his school compatriot). He is buried in Burma as well, at the Thanbyuzxayat War Cemetery.'
