Service and death details are sourced from The Old Birkonians website (see References) which also contains a short biography of this man. There seems confusion over his date of death: the school website has him being killed in November 1943, the CWGC in February 1941. Given he was flying in a Wellington and these were replaced in 103 Squadron in 1942 by Halifaxes, the latter seems the more likely.
