Tutor(s): S J Bailey. Johnian Relatives: brother of Peter Elston Laing (1944). Educ: Grange School, Sunderland; Tonstall Preparatory School, Sunderland; Durham School. Career: Second Lieutenant, East Riding Yeomanry. Died 26 October 1944 (of wounds received in action).'
