The College website (see References) carries this brief biography: 'College Notes: Attended the RAF Course in 1941 and did not graduate. Military Service: Flying Officer (Pilot) RAFVR. 297 Squadron Died 6 June 1944 when his glider towing Armstrong-Whitworth Albemarle aircraft was shot down in the later stages of D-Day.'
