The College website adds: 'He came up in 1912 from Oundle. Youngest brother of R A Armitage [also commemorated here]. Mother widowed. Martlets and College mission. “Tired, cold and hungry, he was last seen fighting with his fists and since then no more has been heard of him”. Commemorated on the Loos Memorial but not on the Oundle roll of honour'.
