The College website adds: 'He came up in 1910 from Bradfield School. Read mechanical sciences, then spent a year at McGill before returning in May 1914. He was killed in the assault on the trenches at Achi Baba. Commemorated by a chandelier at St Saviour’s Westgate-on-Sea and on the Helles Memorial.'
