Cornwall's War History Remembered provide all the extra details. He died when his ship, HMS Seagull, was involved in a collision on the River Clyde and sank. He is also commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, on the Duloe War Memorial in the next village to St Keyne and on his wife's (Louisa) grave in Polperro.
